So, if you are a 20$ supporter, and the development of DoD started somewhere in winter (let's say January), then you already paid 20 * 8 = $160, and if the DoD will be done in December, it will cost an additional $80. Totaling in $240 for a game.

And as it is not the top tier, you will neither get a steam copy nor immediate access. And that not touching the elite $40 subs, who are probably much wealthier than I am, and can pay $480 per game.

Holy hell I want to earn like those guys.

You are entitled to hold on donating him unless he starts working on MP

"TurboScam" -- I like it.

Does that mean other devs have moved on to "HyperScam", and, Spaceballs forbid, "LudicrouScam"?
If lewdlab keeps going this route he is definitely adding a "supercharger" to his already turbocharged scamming ways. If he still keeps going then he is definitely adding "intercooler" to his turbo making him a TURBO-INTERCOOLED SUPERCHARGED Scammer.
I guess other devs who hold higher education phds in scammism are like you said HyperScam tm and LudicrouScam tm .

I don't know who is more pathetic at this point, the scammers or the meta-simps who come to their defense with basic midwit takes and arguments "er er well it is their money and everybody is happy s-so w-what's your problem, contratian?"

As if calling out mundane scammers is supposed to be something new or requires any complex argument behind it that isn't as simple as: "See scammer, warn other frens."

Part of the % of people paying forever into these "online customer tourist traps" I have to guess are really rich people who just really look at 500$ as someone normal looks at 0.50 cents and just go "what the fuck, let him have it".

People with money on the internet are the people that spend 2000$ on flight simulator add ons for example, that add very little, you bought it already, why are people spending thousands for a game they already own, it is literally acting like consooooooomers consooooming shit. When I see people from other games spend thousands into meaningless add ons I have to guess these are the same people wasting thousands into devs that "may or may not deliver this year"

Actually, still left 1 month without patreon posts for this tag. His last post was on 6/29
"Abandoned: The game has been abandoned (confirmed by the dev) or the developer hasn't posted anything related to the game for at least 3 months." He hasn't said anything about Midnight Paradise in Patreon after the general release of 0.14 update which was April 21st, so it's already been four months since he has posted anything related to Midnight Paradise at his Patreon page. All his other posts are about Dreams of Desire.

I see people talking about how the dev is working on DOD. But wasn't DOD finished Years ago? It says on his patreon that DOD is "Completed" is the dev just pulling an ICSTOR atm or?

He is remastering it with sex animations and stuff like that. I think it's dumb to stop the current game you're working on to remake a game that people were already pretty happy with, but hey it's his business he can do whatever he wants I am not paying so it doesn't really affect me.

Ah I see, thanks. That's a real shame, was enjoying MP. DOD is so old no I doubt anyone would go back and play it. tbh with you I don't even remember it not having animations.

He said he needed a break from the creative process as the 2020 year was heavy for him with monthly releases, but instead of just taking a vacation, he wanted to go back to DoD to make a Definitive Edition out of it, which includes proper 60fps animations instead of just back and forth flashing renders as in the original one, rework the endings so they wouldn't be as rushed as they originally turned out to be and then add some new sex scenes for the "after game", ideally releasing it also in Steam when it's ready and thus way keep himself in a working loop. As it's been said here, this most likely was kind of his way of coping with the "I don't know what to do with Midnight Paradise" problem, this way buying him time to think what he will do with it, since he kind of ran himself into the corner with it by preventing and running away from the sex scenes with the main girls, as he for some reason seems them as some kind of an "end game" kind of thing. When he was making the 0.14 update, he said he had planned 10+ endings for the game, ways to ignore the characters player is not interested and thus way they wouldn't be tied to the main story anymore like this far they have been and such things, which to me really screams that he didn't have, and probably still doesn't have, any clue which way he is going to take this one whenever he finally decides to leave that port of refuge of his, what is also known as Dreams of Desire.

All we know is that his time in that port of refuge is going to be up soon, as even his $40 Elite-tier patrons are getting vocal and pissed off to the current situation.

I am not 100% sure but I think he may change the story a little bit, but nothing major. I'll probably play it when it comes out but it's not really something that I am too hyped for.
